Atlanta rockers, Issues, just released their new song “COMA” from their upcoming record, Headspace that is due out May 20 via Rise Records. The two released songs have given insight that Issues is out to prove why they’re becoming so a huge band.
The song starts with a groovy intro provided by bassist Sky Accord, guitarist AJ Rebollo and drummer Josh Manuel. For the firs time in a while, this song features screamer, Michael Bohn switching up his vocals to provide a softer touch that fans are not used to, and I am all about it. His deeper voice contrasts so well with vocalist Tyler Carter’s with the song showcasing big choruses and lyrics that are easily picked up, which will surely during this summer’s Vans Warped Tour and on future tours.
The video for “COMA” is very colorful with the band covered in powder paint but it is also simple, displaying the band's technical talent with nothing else to distract from the instruments. This song (and album as a whole) is sure to launch this band into even more stardom. Issues being on main stage this summer for Warped Tour proves how much pull they have amongst their fans and I cannot wait to see what else this album will bring.
