Chicago sad boys, Real Friends, announced the coming of their second record The Home Inside My Head scheduled to be released on May 27 through Fearless Records. The first single off the new record titled “Colder Quicker” is a great song and hearing the band play it during the Vans Warped Tour announcement live-stream made me very excited for the album and the band’s set as they head out on this year's Warped. Real Friends frontman, Dan Lambton, explained that the song was about his vulnerability and his inability to connect. The chorus very much displays the vulnerability with the lyrics “My hands are numb because it’s getting colder quicker, you need more warmth than I provide. If only my skin were thicker I wouldn’t have to hide...” This new record is on its way to being a great one and with the release date, we can only assume that they will be playing a great deal of new songs as well as classics such as “Late Nights In My Car” during their Warped set.
