Back for the third year, Self Help Festival proved to be a huge success in San Bernardino, CA with the help of 15 bands and over 17,000 fans. Lines started forming well before doors even opened and as you walked up, you could nearly feel the physical excitement radiating off of everyone. Once it hit one o’clock, fans were stampeding off, for Self Help Fest had officially begun.

Before hitting the stages, fans went straight for “Merch Village.” This is where all the merchandise for bands, and other well-known companies were set up at . There was Black Craft, Hopeless, Then. Now. Always., Most It Up, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, Sad Boy Crew, and Bad Bones, just to name a few. At the Bad Bones tent, Trevor (from Our Last Night) was there selling shirts and meeting as many fans as he possibly could. At Jeffree Star Cosmetic, was Jeffree Star himself, where he meet every fan that he possible could.
Self Help had two stages that always had music playing, located outside was the Red Stage and located inside was the Black Stage. Night Verses started the day off on the Black stage. Bands that followed were: Cruel Hand, Tonight Alive, Further Seems Forever, and closing the stage was letlive.
Starting the Red stage was One Ok Rock, who definitely got the crowd hyped and pumped for the following bands. Continuing through the day were: Thy Art is Murder, Crown the Empire, Issues, Yelawolf, August Burns Red, The Story So Far, and The Wonder Years.
Closing the night was the return of Underøath and the band that put the festival on; A Day to Remember.

To complete the day, fireworks went off during the last official song by A Day to Remember.
Overall the day was magical and completely surreal. If you missed this one, do not worry. As of last year, Self Help has two dates, the second date has yet to be announced but going off last year, the fest might take place around October and possibly be back in Philadelphia.
I highly recommend to everyone who listens to this genre to attend Self Help; it is unlike any other music festival. Make sure you keep a look out for more Self Help information, I for a fact will be!
